This page shows the photo's I have entered for competitions during my 2nd "season" at Maidenhead Camera Club.

This photo was taken in the Cagliari, Sardinia in June 2009 using my Canon EOS400D with Sigma 18-200mm lens at F18, 18mm and 1/60s. It scored 19 out of 20 in the October '09 competition.

The next photo was entered at the same time as the one above but only scored 14. I liked the colours in the photo, as did the judge, but the composition was not good in being over the shoulder of the fisherman. It was taken at St.Ives, Cornwall with my Canon EOS400D with Sigma 24-70mm lens at ISO100, F5, 48mm focal length and 1/100s.

The next photo was entered on 27/11/2009. The judge commented that there was a lot to look at but without it being too crowded or jumbled. She generally seemed to like the picture and scored it 18. It was taken in Cagliari, Sardinia with my Canon EOS400D with Sigma 18-200mm lens at ISO100, F18,18mm focal length and 1/25s.

The next photo was also entered on 27/11/2009. The judge seemed to like the lighting but commented that the picture could have improved by shooting from a lower viewpoint. She only scored it 15 which I was somewhat disappointed with. Given the comments made about other pictures on the night I felt she was very harsh on this one. It was taken near Stanage Edge in the Peak District with my Canon EOS400D with Sigma 10-20mm lens at ISO100, F18,10mm focal length and 1/20s.

This photo was submitted on 12/1/2010 and scored 17. It was taken in Hambledon church with my Canon EOS400D with Sigma 24-70mm lens at ISO200, F11,42mm focal length and 1/30s.

This photo was submitted on 12/1/2010 and scored 16. It was taken in Padley Gorge in the Peak District with my Canon EOS400D with Sigma 18-200mm lens at ISO200, F6.3,200mm focal length and 1/20s.
